Several NCS short course records were set at the 2023 North Carolina Swimming Short Course Age Group Championship meet at the Mecklenburg Aquatic Center this past weekend. Reina Liu of the Greensboro Community YMCA Makos (GCY) had an outstanding weekend. Liu swept the 11-12 Girls backstroke records with impressive new marks in the 50 back, 100 back, and 200 back.
The New Wave Swimming 13-14 boys relay team also captured new records in both the 200 free relay and the 200 medley relay. Mattaus Rammel, Ben Smith, Ethan Holloway, and Drew Sito teamed up to break the record in the free relay. Raston Sharron joined Sito, Rammel, and Holloway in erasing the old mark in the medley relay.
Congratulations swimmers!
