With championship meets still a few weeks ago, NC Swimmers have already begun their attack on the NCS Long Course Record Book. Shakira Qian of New Wave Swimming broke the 10 & under 50 Fly record at the recent TAC Triangle Classic. Claire Curzan of the Raleigh Swim Club broke the 11-12 50 Fly record a few weeks ago with a national age group record time of 27.91. At the Eastern Invitational over the weekend Curzan broke her own 100 Fly record and added her name to the 100 back record, as well. Olivia Carter of Enfinity Aquatic Club set a new standard in both the 15-16 and 16-18 200 Fly with a time of 2:12.22 at the Charlotte Ultraswim a few weeks ago. Finally, Anton Ipsen of Wolfpack Elite bettered his own mark in the Open 800 free with a 7:58.64 at an international meet.
Congratulations on these record swims!
