Ross Dant of YSST won a gold medal in the 400 free on the third day of the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Fiji. Dant’s time of 3:52.44 was also an NCS record. It was Dant’s second trip to the podium. On the first day, he placed third in the 1500 free.
Dant is the second North Carolina Swimmer to stand on top of the podium in Fiji. Olivia Carter of Enfinity won gold in the 200 fly earlier in the meet. Carter also placed fourth in the 100 fly.
The third NCS swimmer, Tim Connery of SwimMAC, placed fifth in the 100 breast after another outstanding swim in the 100 back on the first day of the meet.
Congratulations to NCS swimmers on their terrific performances!
