You may have noticed a new column if you’ve pulled up the MEET INFO AND RESULTS page on the NCS website. A Sanction Request Due column has been added so clubs will have a stated deadline for submitting sanction requests for their meets.
Beginning with January meets, NCS will return to its requirements of 60-day lead times for all meets other than closed league, intrasquad, dual, tri, and quad meets. The required lead time on closed league, intrasquad, dual, tri, and quad meets is 30 days.
Clubs are responsible for submitting their sanction requests on time. Clubs failing to submit their sanction requests by the deadline will be charged a late fee as detailed in the summary chart in NCS Rule 204.5. Late fees must be paid before the meet can be sanctioned.
These lead times apply to all meets, whether they are on the meet schedule or not. NCS strongly encourage clubs to include all meets on the schedule. Submitting sanction or approved meet requests for unscheduled meets after the deadline results in higher late fees.
