The 2018 NC Swimming IMX Camp just wrapped up at the GAC in Greensboro, NC, and it was a great experience for both swimmers & coaches! We had 118 swimmers, ages 11 to 13, attend the camp from teams all across North Carolina. Swimmers qualified for the camp by having one of the top 20 male or female IMX scores in their age from the 2017 long course season. Click here to view photos in Gallery.
Below is a list of NCS swimmers who attended the camp.

Our highlight this year was having Coach Jim Richardson, former University of Michigan Women’s Coach as our lead coach. Coach Richardson spent a good part of the weekend working with the swimmers on body position and efficiency in the water as well as getting the swimmers to understand “Why” they do things so they best know how to make corrections. We were very fortunate to have him as our guest as he offered a wealth of knowledge to the swimmers and coaches alike.
Swimmers arrived Saturday morning and were actively engaged in numerous water sessions, yoga and team building activities. As always, bowling provided a great chance for the swimmers to relax with other NC team members from across the state and burn any remaining energy before checking in to the hotel.
Camp wrapped up on Sunday at 12:15 after the completion some final stroke and video review as well as a weekend recap. It was a great weekend and helped generate even more ideas for next year!! Keep swimming fast and we hope to see you there next year!!
