The Open Water Zone Meet will be held in Chattanooga, TN June 1-3, 2018.
The NCS Open Water Zone team will be picked from the Carolina Cup Open Water meet on September 9th, 2017. However, the coaches have a few picks to select the best team.

USA National Team Swimmers Chip Peterson and Ashley Twichell will conduct at open water swimming clinic on Saturday, June 3, 2017 following the NCS Open Water Championship meet at Echo Lake, Seven Lakes, NC.
Congratulations to the North Carolina Swimming Open Water Zone Team. The group traveled to Ft. Myers, Florida this past weekend and returned with the team championship! As you can see from the results below, the team had solid performances in each age group. Thank you to all the coaches and to the 32 swimmers who represented North Carolina Swimming! Below is a list of athletes who will be representing North Carolina Swimming at the 2016 Open Water Southern Zone meet on June 3-5 in Ft Myers Beach, Florida. The 2016 team was selected based on performance at the 2015 Carolina Cup Open Water Meet.

Below are documents with the selection criteria for 2015 Open Water Select Camp and 2016 Open Water Zone Team. Selection for Select Camp is based on performance at the combined Open Water Zone meet and NC Open Water State Champs in June, 2015. Selection for Zone Team is based on performance at the 2015 Carolina Cup Open Water Invitational in September, 2015.
Athletes selected to represent North Carolina at the 2015 NCS Open Water Zone team will have rooms provided at the Homewood Suites Hotel in Pinehurst for Friday and Saturday nights.
The following meals will be provided during the three day event:
Each team member will swim three events: a 1K, a 2K or 5K, and a Team Trial swim.
Team transportation to and from the lake will be provided.
Team members will receive gear including a Zone Team T shirt and Cap.
Team members are asked to arrive at the Homewood Suites Hotel in Pinehurst between 3:00 and 4:00pm on Friday, June 4, 2015. Athletes can be picked up at the hotel around 12:00 noon on Sunday. The hotel address is: Homewood Suites Hotel, 250 Central Park Ave., Pinehurst, NC 28374
The athletes listed below have been invited to represent North Carolina in the Southern Zone Open Water Championships to be held at Seven Lakes, North Carolina on June 5-7, 2015. The Open Water Zone meet will be hosted by the Sandhills Sharks Swim Team. The first event will be a 1K race on Friday for all swimmers. Events on Saturday will include an Open Water 2K for 11-12’s, and an Open Water 5K for 13-14’s, 15-16’s, and a Senior Open division. Sunday events will be a 3K Team Pursuit competition in the various age categories.
Those invited are asked to complete the Online Application form, as well as the Code of Conduct form and the Release Statements form. The signed Code of Conduct and Release forms along with a check for $100 should be mailed to Open Water Zone Team manager Jonathan Bescher by April 4, 2015 (address is on the form). Congratulations!
