The Mecklenburg Swim Association (MSA) won the combined team championships at the 2023 NCS Senior Long Course Championship meet at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. MSA scored 1,068 points, ahead of the TAC Titans (TAC) who finished in second place. The Wolfpack Elite (WOLF) finished in third place, followed by the Raleigh Swimming Association (RSA), and Marlins of Raleigh (MOR). It is with a very heavy heart that we share with you the sudden passing of Coach Kathy McKee earlier this week. Coach Kathy was highly respected and beloved throughout the swimming community. Kathy McKee will be incredibly missed by all.
Kathy’s impact on our sport, our LSC, USA Swimming community, NCS club programs she coached for (SwimMAC Carolina and NCAC), Coaches who learned and collaborated with her on deck, ALL the swimmers she coached, and every person who met her over the decades will never forget her. Kathy’s unwavering dedication, organizational leadership, inspiring spirit, and love for all things swimming defines her as a true Legend in the swimming community. Well Done Good and Faithful Servant.
