March 2, 2024 – NC Swimming Hall of Fame Banquet took place in Raleigh, NC honoring the Class of 2024 Inductees – Kathleen Baker, Tom Brewer, John Calvert, Kathy McKee, and Eric Schwall with our guest presenter, Rowdy Gaines, “the voice of swimming”.

Congratulations to SwimMAC Carolina, winner of the 2024 North Carolina Swimming Senior Short Course Championships held at the Triangle Aquatic Center in Cary this past weekend. SwimMAC captured the championship with 1518.5 team points. Finishing in second place was the Marlins of Raleigh (MOR), followed by Aquatic Team of Mecklenburg (ATOM), New Wave Swim Team (WAVE), and the Waves of Wilmington, Inc (WOW).
Team Awards for the Senior Championship meet are also awarded by Club Size. Congratulations to the following teams on their amazing swims and hard work. #WEARENCS

World Aquatic Championships DOHA 2024 – Doha, Qatar

DOHA, QATAR – World Aquatics Championships – DOHA 2024
Congratulations to NCS athlete, Claire Curzan, 19 year old Olympian and North Carolina native. Claire was selected as 1 of 14 women to be a part of TEAM USA’s World Championship Roster, and has been competing this past week in Doha, Qatar at the World Championships. Curzan was named Female Swimmer of the Meet, leading TEAM USA with her 3 Gold Backstroke Sweep making her the second woman and third swimmer in history to achieve the 50/100/200 Sweep of the same stroke at Worlds. Curzan also received Gold in the 4 x 100 Mixed Medley Relay, silver in the 100 Fly, and bronze in the 400 Free Mixed Relay. Totaling 6 medals overall. Way to Go Claire!
Claire Curzan has an extensive swimming resume within North Carolina Swimming, including numerous NCS State Records that remain untouchable this past weekend at the 2024 NCS AG SC Championship meet. North Carolina Swimming is so proud of Claire Curzan’s accomplishments on the world stage. Keep up the good work Claire, We are so proud of you! NCS is Cheering you on! #WEARENCS
