INTRODUCING THE NC SWIMMING PARIS PEN PAL PROGRAM
With the US Olympic Swim Team Training Camp set for the Triangle Aquatic Center in Cary
in early July, North Carolina Swimming wants to be sure that the team knows how proud
NCS members are of each Olympian’s accomplishments and that they’re spending their last
few days before the Games in our home state. We are inviting all North Carolina swimmers
to write letters to the Olympians and send them in to be put in special mailbags for each
member of the 2024 Swim Team.
Please send an 8” X 11” page which can be artwork, poetry, a letter of congratulations, or
anything that you wish to communicate to the athletes. Include a return address if you
wish and perhaps you may receive a reply (no guarantees!) A media day for the swimming
community is planned at TAC but has not as yet been released to the public.
All submissions will be gathered by June 28, 2024, so be sure to postmark your letter no
later than June 20, 2024 and mail with first class postage to NC Swimming-Paris Pen Pal
Program. c/o Amy Faulk. 413 Kenilworth Rd., Statesville, NC 28677. With 52 members on
the US Olympic Swim Team, we would like to set a goal of more than 1,000 letters to
distribute to the team. Feel free to send in more than one and we will distribute them
amongst the team members! Swimmers of all ages are welcome to submit letters.
Let’s send the Olympic Team off with lots of support and well-wishes for an amazing
Olympic performance. #NCSBetter2Gether #WEARENCS
