2018 NCS Zone Team/Select Camp: Staff Application Form
North Carolina Swimming annually selects up to six Assistant coaches to serve as staff members for the Southern Zone Long Course Age Group Championship, this year to be held in Midland, TX. Coaches report to the Head Zone Team Coach and work in tandem with the Head Coach to select and supervise the member of the Zone Team as well as selecting the athlete’s meet events, and encourage all athletes selected to perform to the best of their abilities.
Assistant coaches will also have the opportunity to serve as staff members for the annual North Carolina Swimming Select Camp April 27 – 29, 2018 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. The camp is for 120+ athletes 14 & under selected based on thier performances at the NC Age Group Championship meet as well as the ESSZ Age Group Championship Meet.
Assistant coaches may be called upon to present educational information while attending the Select Camp and will receive a stipend for their participation. At the camp, assistant coaches help lead athletes in pool and dry land workouts and supervise them over the 2-day camp along with the Head Coach, a Manager and several chaperones.
